Conquer The
Canyon® was
specifically designed as a fundraising campaign for non-profit organizations.
In fact, it is ONLY
available to people who actively participate in the fundraising
program for a bona fide 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It
is NOT open to the general public.
It is a team fundraising adventure
where participants agree to raise funds for your organization in
exchange for 8-weeks of online physical training instruction, informational
clinics on gear, hydration, nutrition and other aspects of hiking
Grand Canyon safely and successfully. The campaign culminates with
an expense paid* 3-night/4-day hosted adventure to the South
Rim of The Grand Canyon for the entire team including a
one-day guided hike at Grand Canyon. *Does
not include airfare.
Since
its' beginning in 2003, more than 4000 people have participated
from across North America. From large multi-million non-profit corporations
conducting national campaigns, to regional and local chapter organizations,
to smaller regional or local agencies, Conquer The Canyon programming
has helped raise more than $20,000,000 in donations in support of
non-profit missions fighting everything from arthritis to cancer,
diabetes to genetic disorders, from homelessness to poverty and
hunger. No mission is too large or too small, and none is
more important than yours.
Can Conquer
The Canyon work for your .ORG?
Ask yourself

a small group of volunteers, board members or donors, or more likely,
the people who live in your community who are up for a personal
journey to hike the Grand Canyon? They can be people from all walks
of life. Virtually people of all fitness levels, abilities and interests
will be motivated and are able to do this.

money in support of your organization's mission in exchange for
the reward of participating in this adventure? Grand Canyon is a
dream destination for more than 5 million visitors every year, some
of which, live right in your community.
If your answer
is YES, then Conquer The Canyon can work
for you. In partnership with your organization, our company team
will coordinate, train, teach and fully prepare each of your team
members to succeed in this fundraising hiking adventure while they
work as a team to raise money and contribute a minimum of $10,000
(net) to your organization. 6 people = $10,000! Bring as
many teams as you want.
How Does it
Work?
We keep it
very simple.
Once you choose
to move forward with Conquer The Canyon, your organization
recruits a team leader plus 5 participants from your local community
and enrolls them into Conquer The Canyon. We'll provide you with
recruitment and enrollment web pages. Each participant must commit
to raising a pre-designated minimum amount of funds for your organization
and to physically train and prepare themselves for their hiking
adventure in Grand Canyon.
Fundraising Tool Kit
Once they are fully enrolled, we'll
provide your team with a comprehensive fundraising tool kit that
contains tons of ideas and proven ideas and techniques they can
use to raise money. It includes an on-line fundraising program that
can increase the amount they raise by as much as 50%! Our trained
staff will work with you and your team leader to get your team on
it's way.
Fitness Training
Approximately 8 weeks prior to the
adventure, we'll provide your team with their online physical training
and preparedness programming. This is a serious program designed
to prepare each individual for their adventure at Grand Canyon.
It is designed to meet their individual needs, whether they want
a more casual walk/hike on the rim, a more arduous hike into and
out of the canyon or a combination of both. It is an online program
delivered in a series of e-mails, blogs, web pages and social network
sites and it is sent out in installments that are directly tied
to fundraising. So as long as they keep their fundraising up, they
receive their training information. As a bonus, we'll work with
your team leader and provide them with ideas they can use to keep
their team engaged and motivated.
100% of the funds raised
goes directly to your organization. Once your team has
fully met their fundraising goal, they are rewarded with an AWESOME
3-night/4-day adventure to a dream destination - Arizona and Grand

Why
would someone sign up for Conquer The Canyon?
Because they can do something good for themselves like getting in
shape, contributing to their community and hiking Grand Canyon while
at the same time
supporting a local cause they believe in, conquering homelessness.
Ultimately, they sign up for the same reasons they participate in
a golf tourney, casino night, 5k fun walk or gala ball - YOU and
YOUR MISSION. A huge key to the success of the program is that your
constituents are undertaking the challenge of raising significant
funds for you by participating in a physically demanding adventure
for themselves. Their reward is not just a 5k walk-a-thon in a local
park - it's a fantastic adventure at the Grand Canyon!
What
are the staffing requirements for me?
One part time staff or volunteer team leader. A company contact
and someone to account for the funds raised.
When
does my organization start receiving funds?
From the moment your team signs up.
How
much money does my organization have to invest to get started?
$100 for each team member to reserve their space - a total of $600.
Or, $0 if you pre-recruit your team members and have them register
on-line directly with us.
What
if we have more than 6 people (one team) who want to participate?
GREAT! You can bring as many teams

When
does Conquer The Canyon Start?
Fundraising starts the minute your team is signed up. Training for
the Grand Canyon hike begins 8 weeks prior to the hike date.
